Mu
Project’s new “Asian Women’s Artist Forum” is
a dynamic internet program to be featured on the Mu Project website.
Mu Project was conceived to expose the public to the beauty and diversity
of contemporary Asian art and culture. Founded in 2004, the
gallery has sought to be the bridge between under represented Asian
artists and the public. During the past four years Mu Project has
had the honor of presenting several exciting Asian artists. However,
due to exhibition capacity, Mu Project was unable to fulfill its
vision with respect to many deserving Asian artists. The “Asian
Women Artist Forum” has been created to establish an alternative
means of exposing promising Asian artists to the public.
Mu
Project’s “Asian Women’s Artist Forum” will
place a spotlight on selected individual Asian and Asian-American female
artists. Artist will be selected based upon demonstrated artistic and
technical achievement and a substantial portfolio of completed work. The
spotlight will not only focus on the visual impact of works, but also
feature the artistic vision and life story as told by the artist. It
is envisaged by Mu Project that the content presented by the artist
will facilitate a vibrant dialogue between the artist and the interested
public. |
